Here are some street scenes of Dhaka from the past two weeks!
Quite possibly the most unsafe thing I’ve seen since I’ve been here. Construction workers with no shoes on trying to pound pilings into the ground, right next to the side walk. The bamboo ladder isn’t attached to anything.
RC cola fountain rickshaw on the street the other day!
Rickshaws lined up
Construction on my street. Concrete broken down by hand, with no shoes on.
Horrible construction on my street that has lasted over two years.
City Corporation election signs!
Friday Prayers, people in all directions
Friday Prayers extended into the market
Trying to escape Sam from jumping on me and putting paw prints on my white pants, I had to jump on a rickshaw, he followed next to the rickshaw the whole way!
Trying to get off a rickshaw, Sam and Nancy are waiting to put their muddy paws on my white pants!
Teaching the girls at the shelter life skills, such as making buttercream frosting, and taking selfies..
Tennis ladies
I just stumbled across your blog and love it! I’m from Canada, just arrived in Dhaka and will only be here for a couple of weeks. Found it a bit overwhelming at first, even after India, but some of your observations are making me feel like I’m not alone in feeling like a fish out of water sometimes 🙂
