There is a new ice skating rink that opened in Dhaka! It’s not “real” ice, but it’s plexiglass that you can skate on. My friend Rachel and I went out with her son to check it out this past weekend. It was definitely and interesting experience! The best part was the cheezy 90’s music they played while skating around. We were actually the only people there, which is quite surprising for Dhaka, and it was actually pretty cheap! 300tk ($4.50 USD) for 2 hours.
After we checked out the mall, and I found my favorite place! Taco Bell! And lucky me, they were serving my other favorite, taco biryani! I could make an entire blog post of all the names that stores in Bangladesh rip off. Also in this mall was a JC Penny (or JC Peny as they wrote it). It’s actually pretty funny… I’ve seen a fake Wendy’s, Popeye’s Chicken (and at this one they serve shwarma!) All most all the rip off places serve Bangladeshi food, much to my dismay.
